Electronic duo Kasablanca have released the first remix package for their acclaimed debut studio album, ‘Higher Resolution’, out now via Anjunabeats. Featuring a hand-picked selection of artists, this reimagined collection breathes new life into the standout tracks from ‘Higher Resolution (Side A)’, delivering fresh takes across melodic house, progressive, and techno.
Over the past four years, Kasablanca has cemented itself as one of dance music’s must-see acts. Following a brief hiatus from touring and music at the start of 2024, they marked their return with ‘Remission’, a highly anticipated collaboration with Lane 8 that debuted live at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Chile, and Peru. The track’s release signaled the first half of their album, leading into additional singles like ‘Terminal Feeling,’ ‘Daydream’ with anamē, and their viral hit ‘Breathe,’ an official cover of The Prodigy that has amassed over 10 million views across social media.
Now, ‘Higher Resolution (Side A) [Remixes]’ showcases a diverse lineup of reinterpretations:
- CVMRN, who previously remixed ‘In Sequence’ in 2023, kicks things off with a rework of ‘Dawn’, setting the tone with his signature progressive style.
- Kasablanca’s own Chill Mix of ‘Remission’ with Lane 8, originally debuted on SiriusXM Chill, now gets an official release.
- Genix puts his spin on ‘Daydream’, a remix he has been teasing in live sets.
- Township Rebellion and Moritz Hofbauer take the project into darker territory, offering melodic techno renditions of ‘Higher Resolution’ and ‘Clarity’, respectively.
- Sam WOLFE delivers a high-energy techno rework of ‘Clarity’, marking his debut remix on Anjunabeats. “This was a really exciting opportunity for me, as I feel like this remix for Kasablanca was a fun way to explore something a little different, both for myself and for a label like Anjunabeats,” says the Atlanta-based producer.
- Rounding out the package is Otherwish, a This Never Happened mainstay, with a stunning melodic house remix of ‘Terminal Feeling’—a track that will be featured in upcoming performances alongside Lane 8 this spring.
Following the success of ‘Higher Resolution’, which has already surpassed 10 million streams, Kasablanca launched their album tour across North America, performing in over 15 states. The duo will continue touring into 2025, with appearances at Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina, and Brazil in March, followed by stops in Colombia and Guatemala in May.
