With their latest single of 2024, Kasablanca joins forces with Nordic duo anamē for the official release of their highly-anticipated collaboration ‘Daydream.’
Initially featured on the ‘Anjunadeep 15‘ mixed compilation in May, ‘Daydream’ has been eagerly awaited by fans of both acts. The team-up of these two rapidly rising stars on the Anjunabeats roster has generated significant buzz. Featuring vocal samples from UK songwriters Harvey Kirkby and Rhys Kirkby-Cox (also known as Everyone You Know), this summery melodic house track offers a refreshing departure from Kasablanca‘s typically darker techno sound, while seamlessly blending with the signature production style of their Scandinavian counterparts. Debuted by anamē in June at the Anjunadeep Explorations Festival in Albania, ‘Daydream’ captivated crowded dance floors, proving its appeal.
The release of ‘Daydream’ also heralds the announcement of Kasablanca‘s upcoming debut album, ‘Higher Resolution’ (Side A), set to drop in October, with an accompanying album tour kicking off shortly after. The electronic duo has been on a roll recently, with notable releases including their collaboration with Lane 8, ‘Remission,’ in April, their solo track ‘Terminal Feeling’ in June, and now this exciting collaboration with anamē. This burst of creativity follows a challenging period for lead singer Micky, who took a hiatus from music after a cancer diagnosis in late 2023. Making a triumphant return with the aptly named ‘Remission,’ Kasablanca has since been busy captivating new audiences with their epic live shows at major festivals around the world, including Ultra in Miami, Peru, and Chile, EDC, the Brooklyn Mirage, Bonnaroo, and many more throughout the summer, including their first European tour before the album release.
Similarly busy, the Scandinavian duo anamē is also taking the new collaboration on the road across an extensive tour. Following the success of their debut album ‘Beautiful World’ and its accompanying world tour, which spanned dozens of dates, anamē continues their momentum with summer shows scheduled across North America, Europe, India, and Australia.
The exciting collaboration between Kasablanca and anamē, ‘Daydream,’ is set for release on July 26 via Anjunabeats.
