Reflecting on the track’s origins, Kaleena Zanders shares, “It’s kind of funny but my friend Vanessa and I wrote the lyrics to this song three or four years ago, not knowing we were literally going to go through what feels like a battle with AI. I had brought the topline to Daniel Allan, and he came up with this incredible driving chord progression that felt euphoric and free. My longtime collaborator No Bills and I finished up the production to give it a KZ twist.”
She continues, “After one of my songs got scrapped from my album, this one came rushing back to me. I felt like people could use a little slice of musical hope, even if AI seems to be taking over everything. The childlike gang vocals are all my voice—I wanted it to sound like future humans fighting to make sure humanity doesn’t disappear.”
Beyond the studio, Kaleena Zanders has been building serious momentum across both music and digital platforms. Viral moments like her cover of “Bazooka” and a remix of Miami XO’s track—paired with a widely shared studio clip captioned “RIP Granny”—have propelled her into the spotlight, sparking trends like the “World War III soundtrack” and cementing her as a rising cultural force.
