Visionary immersive media artist Justin Bolognino returns for his third consecutive year as Experience Director of Spirit Lake—Suwannee Hulaween’s iconic, multi-sensory art environment—unveiling the 2025 theme: “The Radiant Veil: The Dance of Light and Shadow.” This year’s event promises to elevate the festival’s artistic scope to new heights, transforming Spirit Lake into a fully immersive, ever-shifting realm that blurs the boundaries between the visible and the hidden.
Set for October 30–November 2, 2025 at the beloved Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, Spirit Lake is more than just a visual playground—it’s a living, breathing artistic ecosystem where surreal installations, audio-reactive environments, and participatory performance art converge.
For 2025, “The Radiant Veil” explores the interplay of duality—inviting festival-goers into a mysterious, otherworldly landscape where light and shadow entwine to reveal deeper narratives. By day, tranquil sculptural pieces will populate the grounds; by night, they’ll awaken into kinetic, illuminated environments pulsing with music and magic.
Highlights include:
- Standalone light and shadow installations that shift from serene daytime sculpture to vibrant, sound-reactive nighttime spectacles.
- The debut of the AV Light Experience—a next-generation interactive light sculpture that evolves throughout the evening into a fully volumetric beacon responding to the rhythms of the Spirit Lake Stage.
- The return of Spirit Lake’s iconic lakeside audiovisual show, which will feature newly commissioned projection art, narrative-driven design, and environmental storytelling, promising the most immersive lakeside experience yet.
“Going into our third year with Spirit Lake, we’re looking to push the experience even further into new, uncharted territory,” said Bolognino, founder and CEO of the immersive design studio META. “We’re most thrilled to tease this infinite dance of shadow and light into existence!”
Artists are encouraged to submit installation proposals for Spirit Lake 2025 from May 14 through June 31.
