British producer Just Geo steps confidently into a new chapter with the release of his immersive EP IN/HARMONY, arriving December 5 via DWNTHRD. Anchored by the focus single “IN/ESSENCE,” the project pushes his sound into deeper, more experimental territory while staying rooted in the pulse of UK club culture.
Crafted as a time-warped journey, the EP blends UK garage, grime, UK club, and forward-thinking electronic elements into a cohesive, emotionally driven narrative. It opens with “In/Too/Deep,” a slow-burning introduction shaped by the echoes of his early influences, before dropping into “In/Harmony,” a rave-charged homage to the dubby textures of the early 2000s.
From there, the atmosphere shifts into something more personal with “In/Motion,” a spacious, vulnerable two-step cut that pulls listeners further inside his evolving sound. “In/Charge” jolts the energy upward again, channeling old-school dubstep grit wrapped in a hypnotic club groove, while “In/My/Head” dives back into emotional territory, capturing moments of release and raw self-reflection.
The spotlight track, “In/Essence,” leans into drum & bass foundations, showcasing Just Geo’s precision in bending and reshaping genres into something unmistakably his. Closing the project, “In/Sync” taps directly into the heart of UK club culture—emotive, atmospheric, and built for losing yourself completely on the dancefloor.
Reflecting on the creative process, Just Geo describes the project as a deeply personal endeavor shaped by limited time, shifting life rhythms, and the desire to stay connected to creativity:
“This is one of those projects I could have worked on forever. Life has gotten more hectic but exciting. It started as an exercise in being creative with limited time, hardware, and resource.”
He explains that each track represents an evolving moment or feeling, written everywhere from the studio to quiet late-night sessions at home, to travels across planes, trains, hotels, and festival tents.
“Essentially it’s been the soundtrack to my year.”
A fixture of South London’s music landscape, Just Geo has spent years shaping his eclectic sound. Grounded in influences from UK Garage and Grime to modern electronic and club culture, he rose from the pirate radio circuit to prime-time slots on CSR FM, touring with Ministry of Sound, and landing a residency on Capital FM’s Capital Weekender. His dynamic presence has taken him from massive festival crowds—shelling with Wiley and going back-to-back with Idris Elba—to intimate underground spaces around the world.
Today, he’s gaining momentum as both a selector and producer, championing the next wave of UK talent through his own brand and label while delivering boundary-pushing DJ sets across platforms like BBC Radio 1Xtra and Capital Xtra. With mounting editorial support from Spotify and a sound that refuses to sit still, Just Geo is firmly carving out his lane—and IN/HARMONY is his most compelling statement yet.
