As Josh Wink continues a wave of renewed chart momentum and heavyweight DJ support in 2026, the influential producer now unveils a deeply personal and long-anticipated release: “Let Yourself Go On.” The track arrives as Volume 2 in his 607 Sessions series on Ovum Recordings.
The release lands at a significant moment in Wink’s career resurgence. Marco Faraone’s rework of the Size 9 classic “I’m Ready” recently broke into the Beatport Peak Time Techno Top 10, reaffirming Wink’s lasting relevance on contemporary dance floors. At the same time, his upcoming Ovum Recordings single “Let Yourself Go” (OVM337), arriving March 6, has already been generating strong early DJ support across the global house and techno community.
Among the artists championing Wink’s latest material are Nicole Moudaber, Tania Vulcano, Marco Faraone, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Chris Liebing, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Paco Osuna, Stacey Pullen, Gerd Janson, Jerome Sydenham, and Damian Lazarus, highlighting his rare ability to resonate across multiple generations of DJs and electronic music styles.
Yet “Let Yourself Go On” carries a deeper story. The track was originally produced between 1993 and 1994, capturing Josh Wink during an intensely experimental period as he explored wild-pitch manipulation and raw studio experimentation during a formative era of underground dance music. Built around hypnotic vocal manipulation, the record stretches and reshapes its central phrase into a slow-burning progression that gradually builds tension. Minimal yet emotionally charged, the track reflects Wink’s instinctive production approach during the early days of his career.
For years, the record existed more as a rumor than a reality. It was widely believed to have been lost until Wink rediscovered the original DAT tape while clearing out a storage unit. Once found, the track was carefully remastered by Arnold at CALYX Mastering, preserving its gritty character while updating its clarity and weight for modern sound systems. The result feels remarkably timeless—proof that truly forward-thinking ideas rarely age.
Still unsure whether the track should finally be released, Wink shared it privately with longtime friend Carl Cox. The legendary DJ quickly ended the debate. “Let Yourself Go On” soon became one of the standout unreleased IDs played during Carl Cox’s UNVRS events and featured prominently throughout his recent residency, igniting dance floors worldwide despite never being officially available.
Now, after decades in limbo, the track finally receives its long-awaited release. Arriving March 6 via Ovum Recordings, “Let Yourself Go On” connects past and present—an experimental artifact from the 1990s resurfacing at a moment when Josh Wink is once again climbing charts, earning global DJ support, and reminding the electronic music world that foundational artists continue to shape the sound of today.
