Today, multi-hyphenate artist, director, and Grammy-nominated musician Jesse Boykins III (COLORS, Interview Magazine) links up with brand-new Los Angeles duo Everything Liquid (Matt Ossentjuk and Diego Cuevas) for the soulful, jungle-inspired single “No Signal.” The track serves as the lead single off the forthcoming self-titled Everything Liquid EP, out May 2 via StrataSonic Records.
On “No Signal,” Jesse Boykins III delivers a lyrical performance that encapsulates his artistic ethos—emotional vulnerability, sensual truth, and the timeless pursuit of connection in an increasingly disconnected world. Inspired by watching the party scene from Romeo + Juliet on mute, Boykins channeled the scene’s energy into the song’s core. “It solidified the emotions needed to directly express how magical a moment is if we are honest and truthful in it,” he shared. “It’s about the art of letting go on the dance floor with music as a guiding light to intimacy.”
The lyrics unfold like a whispered confession between two souls caught in a fragile push and pull of desire and hesitation. Lines like “Do you even listen when you say you love me?” and “Please don’t make me wait on your slow reveal” showcase Jesse’s remarkable ability to translate complex emotions into plainspoken, heartfelt poetry.
