Fresh off the release of his acclaimed sophomore album Doctrine of Love, Jalen Ngonda has announced an extensive North American tour set to bring his timeless soul sound to audiences across the continent this fall.

The tour kicks off on November 10 in Chicago and will see Ngonda performing in cities throughout the United States before concluding with a headline show at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on December 3. Rising Scottish soul singer Brooke Combe will provide support throughout the run. The announcement arrives as Ngonda celebrates the release of Doctrine of Love with special album launch performances, including tonight’s show at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre, following a recent release event at The Lodge Room in Los Angeles.

The North American dates continue what has already been a remarkable year of live performances for the singer-songwriter. Earlier in 2026, Ngonda embarked on a successful series of European headline shows while also serving as support for GRAMMY Award winner Olivia Dean’s sold-out European arena tour. His busy schedule continues throughout the summer with appearances at major festivals including Love Supreme, North Sea Jazz, and Mad Cool, before launching the European leg of the Doctrine of Love tour on October 2 in Amsterdam.

At the heart of this touring cycle is Doctrine of Love, an album that further establishes Ngonda as one of modern soul music’s most compelling voices. Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of 1960s and 1970s soul, the record channels the warmth, emotion, and craftsmanship of the era while avoiding nostalgia-driven clichés. Instead, Ngonda blends those classic influences with subtle touches of contemporary pop and R&B, creating a sound that feels both familiar and refreshingly modern.

Celebrated for a voice that evokes comparisons to legendary Motown artists, Ngonda continues to build on the momentum generated by his 2023 breakthrough debut, Come Around and Love Me. Working once again alongside trusted collaborators Vince Chiarito and Michael Buckley, he delivers a collection of songs marked by confidence, maturity, and a deeper artistic vision.

The success of his debut album sparked a rapid rise that included his U.S. television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, as well as appearances on The Graham Norton Show and Later… with Jools Holland. His breakout single, “If You Don’t Want My Love,” has amassed more than 253 million streams worldwide, while multiple releases earned A-list support from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, and Jazz FM.

Beyond his solo work, Ngonda has also collaborated with artists including Jordan Rakei and Gorillaz, joining Damon Albarn’s iconic project on their recently released album The Mountain.

With Doctrine of Love, Jalen Ngonda continues to prove that classic soul music can still evolve in meaningful ways. As he prepares to bring the album to stages across North America and Europe, the singer-songwriter is solidifying his place among the most exciting voices carrying the genre into a new generation.
