Jai Wolf ushers in the next chapter of his career with the release of “Throw Ya Body,” a dynamic collaboration featuring rising producer Tej and singer-songwriter Avani Satra. The genre-blending single serves as the first preview of the New York-raised producer’s upcoming project, introducing a fresh creative direction rooted in collaboration with South Asian artists from around the world.
Known for his emotionally rich productions, Jai Wolf expands his sonic palette on “Throw Ya Body,” merging elements of bass music, club culture, melodic house, and indie electronica into a vibrant, forward-thinking release. The track pairs Avani Satra’s ethereal yet futuristic vocal performance with hypnotic flute melodies, moody production, and explosive bass house drops, creating a record that feels equally suited for festival stages and late-night club sets.
For Jai Wolf, the single represents more than just a standalone release—it marks the beginning of a collaborative project dedicated to showcasing South Asian creatives across genres while pushing the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.
Joining him is Tej, the Mumbai-born, San Francisco-based producer whose forward-thinking approach combines bass music, hyperpop textures, and emotionally driven songwriting. His growing catalog includes collaborations with artists such as Z3LLA, Wheresjordxn, and Col3man, establishing him as one of the genre’s rising talents.
Adding another layer to the collaboration is Avani Satra, the India-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and producer whose blend of indie pop and neo-soul has earned attention throughout the New York City music scene. Performances at venues including DROM, City Winery, Kobrick Coffee, and Mercury Lounge have helped establish her as an emerging voice with a distinct artistic identity.
The release also signals a significant new phase for Jai Wolf, whose career has steadily evolved since breaking through with the RIAA Gold-certified single “Indian Summer,” a track that has surpassed 200 million streams across platforms. Since then, he has released two acclaimed studio albums—The Cure to Loneliness (2019) and The Red Eye Home (2024)—while collaborating with artists including BANKS, San Holo, and Aluna, in addition to producing official remixes for Skrillex, Coldplay, The Chainsmokers, ODESZA, and Alesso.
Fresh off announcing his 10 Year Anniversary Tour, Jai Wolf is preparing to celebrate every stage of his career with a retrospective live experience beginning October 24 in San Francisco. The eight-city U.S. tour follows his globally inspired Club Babu Tour, where he explored UK garage, baile funk, 140 bass, and dub influences through headline performances in Los Angeles, New York City, Denver, Toronto, as well as international stops in China and Bangladesh.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to launch my next era with THROW YA BODY, a collab with rising bass producer f and vocalist Avani Satra,” says Jai Wolf. “The spirit of my next era is to push my personal sonic boundary as far as possible through collaborations, and I knew that working with Tej would result in a really unique sounding track that blends bass, future bass vocal chops, and bass house. This one is an absolute weapon in my Club Babu sets and we’re so excited for the world to hear it.”
With its adventurous production, global influences, and collaborative spirit, “Throw Ya Body” introduces an exciting new creative direction for Jai Wolf, setting the tone for a project that promises to redefine his sound while spotlighting the next generation of South Asian talent in electronic music.
