Showcasing ILLENIUM’s signature sonic alchemy, the track opens with glowing neon synths layered over a hypnotic beat. The production swells between an explosive drop and a heart-wrenching hook from Alna, who delivers the line, “Tell me did we almost have forever?” Tom Grennan answers with a contrasting perspective, their harmonies intertwining and soaring over ILLENIUM’s ethereal, future-forward soundscape.
“Forever” arrives shortly after ILLENIUM’s two-track bundle featuring “Refuge” with Norma Jean Martine and “Ur Alive” with WYLDE. Those singles quickly racked up millions of streams and earned widespread praise.
