PREMIERE THEIR DEBUT COLLABORATION “PANIC MODE” WITH GROUND SOUNDS

Welcome to another fabulous edition of House and Techno Tuesday, with your main squeeze Jen at the helm.

First things first. We have a Fresh New Music alert. House heads, you are going to this one. It’s really grimy and dark, but still bouncy enough to get me off my couch while I was writing this article.

Grammy-award-winning producer and artist Salvador Santana has teamed up with acclaimed DJ and producer Felix forr their first collaborative offering, “Panic Mode”. Yesterday, Santana and Felix partnered up with Ground Sounds to give fans an early listen to the alluring house single. Click here to pre-order and pre-save “Panic Mode.”

See what I told you… LEGIT!

As “Panic Mode” songwriter and vocalist, Santana sheds light on the dark side of life with lines such as: “creatures of habit dwelling in darkness,” or “everyone lies not everyone gives/everybody dies not everyone lives”and “a taste of desperation in the air/the scent of the city life glows in the sky.”While walking the lyrical tightrope between light and dark, Santana manages to, in his words, “keep it real, but I try to keep it on the positive side. We just wanted to describe this apocalyptic scene that’s going on around the world, but at the same time people are still going out of their way to rage and party.” Santana and Felix are currently working on an official music video and expect to it in the coming weeks, so definitely be on the lookout for that.

Tour alert: Speaking of dancing… great news for all you Repopulate Mars fans out there. We have an exciting tour announcement. Mayson Maynard is coming stateside! That’s right guys, the prodigy every house producer is working with from Camelphat to will not only be hitting the West Coast, but the East Coast. Make plans to go see him. You definitely don’t want to miss this kid. At 22 years old he is already fucking shit up, and I for one can’t freaking wait to see him at CRSSD and at MMW.

The Mancunian producer’s new single will drop in March, during the midst of his tour. An impressive first run throughout the USA will take the young producer to major cities such as where he will support FISHER & Chris Lake‘s sold out Shrine show (15k tickets), the marvel that is Central America’s EDC Mexico, and the highly respected CRSSD festival in San Diego, where you will absolutely find me jamming out to his set.

The tour follows another huge year for Mason Maynard in 2018, with the UK producer delivering productions on ‘Sola’, as well as touring Australia and New Zealand in addition to sets at the likes of Hi Ibiza, Amnesia, Hideout, and The Hangar at Parklife – where an enthusiastic crowd of 15,000 were in attendance in his hometown.

With his burgeoning career seeing Mason garner support from industry heavyweights such as Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Claude VonStroke and more….this debut USA tour will further galvanize this respect as he plays alongside the likes of Lee Foss, Fisher, Solardo, Green Velvet and many more acts this young producer was only dreaming of this time last year. 2019 sure is set to be a huge year for Mason. Tickets for his USA tour are on sale now. You can say you heard it from Jen, he is not to be missed.

Lineup Announcements: Techno fans rejoice. While we are still waiting on the true OG of Techno fests (here’s looking at you Movement) to release their full lineup, (peep our the teaser here),two amazing lineups dropped last week. I don’t know how you would have missed them… but here they are in all their glory.

Both are impressive lineups, and a true testament to the extreme popularity that Techno has reached, especially in the U.S. To see this sort of lineup for Ultra’s Resistance brand, and for Techno to literally get its entire island in my personal favorite (read more about Resistance Island here)… well, it is a dream come true.
