Brazilian producer and DJ HeyDoc! brings Dirtybird’s landmark 20th anniversary celebrations to a close with the release of his new Da Beat EP, out now. The two-track project lands as HeyDoc! continues his run across the Flight Week Brazil Tour, cementing his moment within both the local scene and the label’s global orbit.
Fresh off a high-energy set in Goiânia, HeyDoc! channels that momentum directly into the EP. The title track, “Da Beat,” unfolds with tightly wound, hypnotic rhythms and playful sonic twists that feel constantly in motion. On the flip side, “Astro Dance” dives deeper, leaning into a darker, groove-forward pulse designed for late-night club sessions and immersive dancefloor moments. Together, the tracks strike a balance between precision and unpredictability, making the release a fitting sendoff for two decades of Dirtybird’s fearless, left-of-center sound.
As Flight Week Brazil approaches its final stretch, Dirtybird continues to spotlight the artists pushing the country’s club culture forward. Da Beat follows recent releases from Brazilian talents Bruno Furlan, Ribguga, and BadComppany, underscoring the label’s growing connection to Brazil’s influence on the global electronic landscape.
For HeyDoc!, the EP represents another step forward in an already distinctive journey. Known for inventive rhythms and meticulous sound design, he approaches music as “medicine for the mind,” translating his perspective as a neurodivergent artist on the autism spectrum into expressive, immersive productions. After first appearing on Birdfeed in 2021 with “Netero,” Da Beat marks his official debut on the main Dirtybird label.
With its restless energy and imaginative spirit, Da Beat EP closes out Dirtybird’s anniversary year on a high note, celebrating both the label’s legacy and the new voices shaping its future.
