It’s hard to deny that Illenium had the biggest year of his career in 2019. Dropping his third album “ASCEND”, which included a track with The Chainsmokers, headlining his own tour, and performing at some of the world’s biggest festivals… Illenium is not slowing down anytime soon. He’s been one of this year’s most talked-about artists.
Coming up quickly behind is Nathan Shaw, better known as Ekali. 2020 is likely to be a huge year for the artist. Set to drop his debut album and tour internationally, he’s one to watch out for. Fans have been watching him anxiously, waiting for new music Ekali has been teasing all year. The one that was undoubtedly the most anticipated was his one that (finally) just dropped, “Hard to Say Goodbye” with Illenium.

We’ve been waiting months for this beauty and it’s finally here! Videos of this song first started popping out at EDC Vegas this year in May, and I have been eagerly awaiting ever since.
I’ve even kept this song on my YouTube playlist for a while now, and I’m excited to jam out to it sans shitty iPhone recording or festival crowd screaming. Before it even dropped, I had memorized half of the song’s lyrics.
The song features Chloe Angelides, a beautiful vocalist whose voices just soothes. It kicks off with a soft piano melody and stripped guitar vibes that captures the listener, before hitting them with two powerful and energetic drops.
