Hannah Wants is set to release her latest single, “Hold Me”, featuring longtime collaborator ARA, on February 7th via Defected Records. A special acoustic version will follow later this month, offering a stripped-back take on what she calls her “favorite record to date.”
A Deeply Personal Release
With an impressive run of releases on Defected, including “The One” with ARA, “Cure My Desire” with Clementine Douglas, and “Hard To Breathe” with Hannah Boleyn, Hannah Wants has consistently showcased her ability to craft dance music with depth and emotion.
Written in December 2023, “Hold Me” originally emerged from a place of vulnerability, but its significance deepened following Hannah’s breakup and cancer re-diagnosis. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared:
“‘Cure My Desire’ was born out of heartbreak in 2020 and played a huge part in my healing; I know releasing ‘Hold Me’ is going to play a similar role.”
The track’s evocative lyrics, combined with ARA’s ethereal vocal performance, transform “Hold Me” into an anthem of love, loss, and resilience.
A Track That Resonates With Fans Worldwide
Having teased the record over the past year, Hannah Wants has already received an overwhelming response from fans eager for its official release. With Defected Records backing yet another standout release, “Hold Me” further cements Hannah’s evolution as an artist who blends melodic storytelling with club-ready beats.
Stream “Hold Me” on February 7th, and stay tuned for the acoustic version later this month.
