HAAi Shares ‘Ignition’ With Echonomist Ahead of New Album DIGITiSE

HAAi has unveiled her latest single, “Ignition” featuring Echonomist, offering another exhilarating preview of her forthcoming album, DIGITiSE. Set for release on October 9, 2026 via Mute, the album marks the next chapter in the London-based, Australian-born producer, songwriter, and DJ’s ever-evolving artistic journey.

“Ignition” is an energetic, club-focused production that channels HAAi’s signature ability to merge emotional storytelling with powerful dancefloor rhythms. Driven by crystalline synths, broken beat influences, and relentless four-on-the-floor percussion, the track balances raw intensity with a sense of optimism, creating a euphoric anthem built for late-night club sets and festival stages.

For HAAi, the collaboration carries both musical and personal significance.

“Ignition is a collaboration with Echonomist, someone whose music has shaped many of my sets since I started touring. Sonically, it’s a driving broken beat track that maintains a lot of innocence. Lyrically, it is deeply personal: documenting my coming-of-age as a queer kid in a small town, desperate to leave.

In the true spirit of DIGITiSE, ‘Ignition’ serves as a sequel to ‘Go!’ from my previous album HUMANiSE. Both tracks are so important to the storytelling of the albums. I’m glad to be able to take it to the place we feel the most free, the dance floor.”

Echonomist echoed the natural chemistry behind the collaboration, explaining:

“From the moment HAAi and I started talking, we connected through music in a really genuine way. It didn’t take long to realize we shared a similar musical language, and that made this collaboration feel incredibly natural. She reminded me of how much I love breaks, and that inspiration became the starting point.”

The single follows the release of DIGITiSE‘s title track, which featured longtime collaborator Pat Alvarez and was described by HAAi as “the nucleus of the whole album.” While the project initially began as an extension of her acclaimed 2025 album HUMANiSE, it soon developed into a standalone body of work with its own identity.

Describing the relationship between the two records, HAAi explains that “DIGITiSE holds the hand of HUMANiSE and walks it to the club,” positioning the new album as the more dancefloor-oriented companion to its predecessor.

Throughout DIGITiSE, HAAi continues exploring themes surrounding humanity in an increasingly digital world. As technology and artificial intelligence reshape everyday life, the producer views dance music as a powerful antidote—one capable of bringing people together through shared experiences on the dancefloor. That philosophy extends beyond the music itself, influencing every aspect of the project, from its collaborative spirit to its immersive visual presentation.

The album features an eclectic lineup of collaborators, including Echonomist, Skybreak, Pat Alvarez, ILA, James Massiah, Kaiden Ford, and Cantoalegre, a children’s choir from Medellín, Colombia. Together, they create a genre-spanning collection that reflects the diverse musical influences HAAi has embraced throughout years of international touring.

The visual world surrounding DIGITiSE was developed alongside creative director Martin Falck, whose work with Fever Ray, The Knife, and Icona Pop helped shape a vibrant aesthetic that contrasts the darker themes explored on HUMANiSE. Meanwhile, lighting designer Belinda Best has played a key role in bringing the album’s immersive live performances to life.

HAAi has already been road-testing much of the new material in her DJ sets, using live audience reactions to refine arrangements, tighten grooves, and maximize the physical impact of each track. Earlier this year, intimate performances at The Courtyard Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall offered fans an early glimpse into the DIGITiSE universe, with additional live performances continuing throughout 2026.

The producer’s momentum has continued to build following her recognition as Beatport’s Artist of the Month in June. Her busy touring schedule includes appearances at Herrensauna x Knit in Amsterdam, Pride On The Park in Brighton, World Pride Amsterdam, Sziget Festival, Maiden Voyage Festival, Pacha Ibiza, The Warehouse Project, iiiPoints Festival, and a series of high-profile back-to-back performances with artists including DJ Seinfeld, DJ Tennis, Sally C, Adiel, and Special Request.

With “Ignition,” HAAi delivers another compelling glimpse into DIGITiSE, showcasing a project that seamlessly bridges emotional storytelling and peak-time dancefloor energy. As the album’s release approaches, the new single reinforces her reputation as one of electronic music’s most innovative artists, continuing to push creative boundaries while celebrating the sense of unity that only music can create.
