Dance music powerhouse GRYFFIN and bass titan Excision have unveiled a massive remix package for their collaborative single “Air” featuring Grammy-nominated vocalist Julia Michaels, out now via 10K Projects.
Originally released in April, “Air” combined GRYFFIN’s soaring, cinematic melodies with Excision’s thunderous low-end and Julia Michaels’ unmistakable vocals, resulting in a track that struck a perfect balance between mainstage euphoria and bass-driven intensity. Now, eight rising and established producers reimagine the anthem with their own bold signatures, stretching the song across the electronic spectrum.
The remix collection features fresh takes from Heyz, NEOTEK, Angrybaby, LAYZ, Calcium, RetroVision, RZRKT, and All The Reason. From blistering dubstep drops and propulsive techno builds to festival-ready future house grooves, each rework infuses “Air” with new life while amplifying its cross-genre appeal.
For GRYFFIN, the release arrives amid a wave of high-profile collaborations including “In My Head” with Kaskade, “Hard Time Lover” with Chance Peña, and “Higher Power” with LAVERN & AR/CO. Earlier this year, he tapped Silver Panda and RSCL to remix “In My Head”, while last year’s PULSE album was reimagined by artists like R3HAB, YDG, and Jerro. He will continue his global momentum with packed festival appearances at Breakaway Michigan, Ultra Japan, Wicked Oak, Escape Halloween, and EDC Orlando, as well as his first-ever headline tour across Australia.
Meanwhile, Excision has kept energy levels high following the release of “Air” with hard-hitting collaborations alongside SVDDEN DEATH and Sullivan King. The arrival of the remix package comes just as he prepares for his curated festivals, with the seventh edition of Bass Canyon and the eighth edition of Lost Lands ready to dominate the bass music calendar once again.
