Groove Cruise, the world’s original and largest floating dance music festival, has officially announced Kindred as the winner of its global DJ/producer contest, presented in collaboration with Beatport and LabelRadar.
After reviewing nearly 700 submissions from aspiring artists worldwide, Kindred emerged as the grand prize winner, earning a career-defining opportunity to perform on Groove Cruise Miami 2026, which sets sail from January 22–26, 2026.
The competition invited producers and DJs across the globe to submit original tracks, which were evaluated by a panel of industry professionals from Groove Cruise and Beatport. Shortlisted finalists then submitted 30-minute DJ mixes, with Kindred distinguishing herself through her creativity, polished execution, strong artistic identity, and captivating live vocal performance that transformed her mix into a complete musical journey.
Expressing her excitement, Kindred shared:
“I am beyond grateful for this incredible opportunity! It’s my very first Groove Cruise, and the fact that I get to perform on it makes it even more special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to experience this journey at sea with all of you beautiful people.”
As the grand prize winner, Kindred will join the official Groove Cruise Miami 2026 lineup, performing alongside some of the biggest names in dance music aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas. The prize package—valued at over $5,000—includes an official track release on Whet Music, a complimentary stateroom for two (excluding taxes and fees), up to $600 in travel reimbursement, a Beatport membership, swag bags, and additional perks. Runners-up also received prizes including software, streaming memberships, and exclusive Groove Cruise merchandise.
