New York City’s flagship music festival, Governors Ball, has officially unveiled its 2025 lineup, confirming its return to the iconic Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens from June 6-8. This year’s festival coincides with New York Music Month, reinforcing its position as a cultural cornerstone of the city.
Headliners for the 15th anniversary include genre-defying rapper and producer Tyler, The Creator, breakout pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, and Hozier, the multi-Platinum-selling, GRAMMY-nominated Irish singer-songwriter. The diverse lineup also features Glass Animals, Conan Gray, Clairo, The Backseat Lovers, Mt. Joy, Benson Boone, Young Miko, and Mk.Gee, with over 60 acts performing across three stages.
Governors Ball 2025 promises an immersive festival experience, blending world-class music with unique local elements. Festivalgoers will have access to curated food vendors representing Queens’ vibrant culinary scene, a diverse beverage program to beat the summer heat, and engaging experiences spread throughout the park. The venue, nestled in the heart of the city, is accessible via the 7 Train and LIRR, ensuring easy access from all five boroughs.
In addition to stellar performances, this year’s event introduces new ticketing options, including PIT VIEWING tickets, which provide exclusive front-of-stage access to all three stages. Returning favorites include GA+, VIP, and Cabanas, all available with layaway plans starting at just $25 down. Local Queens residents in select zip codes can enjoy a 15% discount on tickets as part of the festival’s community outreach initiatives.
Beyond the music, Gov Ball continues to prioritize community impact through its Gov Ball Gives Back program. Since its move to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in 2023, the festival has invested in park improvements, including 20,000 square feet of sod and upgraded accessibility. Partnerships with organizations like HeadCount, Everytown for Gun Safety, and the Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park highlight its dedication to local causes and sustainability efforts.
Local leaders have expressed their enthusiasm for the festival’s continued presence in Queens. Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. remarked: “With Governors Ball returning for its third year at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the world’s borough will once again take center stage. From the incredible lineup of artists to the festival’s commitment to local vendors and community programs, it’s a celebration that embodies the spirit of New York City.”
