Brazilian-American recording artist Gabby B is celebrating a milestone year in 2026, expanding her musical presence through Brazilian funk releases, collaborations with established artists and producers, and performances across sports, fashion, and entertainment. From launching her ambitious Funklândia project to appearing at Orlando City SC and Miami Swim Week, the multilingual artist has spent the year embracing her Brazilian heritage while continuing to grow her international career.

At the heart of Gabby’s 2026 journey is Funklândia, a multi-chapter musical project exploring the intersection of Brazilian funk, global pop, and Latin influences. In June, she released Funklândia: Rooted, a seven-track EP that brought her back to the sounds and cultural influences that helped shape her artistic identity. Born in Brazil and raised across France, Canada, and the United States, Gabby draws from her multicultural background to blend Brazilian rhythms with an international pop sensibility.

The project began taking shape in January with “Faz Assim,” a collaboration with Brazilian artist MC Xangai and producer DJ Biel Bolado. Created during recording sessions in São Paulo with Brazilian funk label Love Funk, the single established an early connection to the contemporary Brazilian funk scene. Gabby continued building momentum with the multilingual single “No Te Canses” in March, followed by “Nível Hard” in May, offering listeners a preview of the musical direction behind the EP.

In August, Gabby expanded the project with Funklândia: Rooted Deluxe, growing the original seven-track release into a 12-song collection. The deluxe edition introduced sounds inspired by Brazilian phonk, remixes, and alternate versions. Among its highlights was “BOTADINHA,” a high-energy collaboration with rising Brazilian funk artist Cacau Chuu, produced by DJ Biel Bolado and Tutu No Beat.

Her connection to Brazil’s contemporary funk movement continued into the fall with “Joga Pra Criminoso,” an electrifying collaboration with São Paulo-based artist MC RD released in October. Gabby also announced “É Gostosin,” a playful, tamborzinho-driven track produced by DJ Neeh FZR and created alongside producer WK in São Paulo, scheduled for release on November 6. The single offers an early glimpse of Funklândia: Rising, the next chapter of her musical project, planned for early 2027.

Outside the studio, Gabby broadened her presence across sports, fashion, and live entertainment throughout the year. She performed the U.S. national anthem for Gotham FC and Orlando City SC, while also participating in the club’s Soccer Celebration. These appearances brought her musical identity and Brazilian heritage into the atmosphere of international soccer. She also performed during Miami Swim Week, bringing her energetic stage presence to one of Miami’s prominent fashion events.

In October, Gabby extended her work beyond music and entertainment by participating in community initiatives for National Bullying Prevention Month. Through these events, she helped promote kindness, inclusion, and self-confidence, encouraging young audiences to embrace their individuality and stand against bullying. Her involvement reflects a broader commitment to using her platform to inspire and empower the next generation.

With Funklândia continuing to evolve and new music on the horizon, Gabby B is building a career that connects Brazilian funk with a wider international audience. Her 2026 releases and performances reflect an artist embracing her roots while continuing to explore new creative directions.
