Philadelphia-based producer and DJ G-Space has just dropped his highly anticipated five-track Dark Matter EP, now available on HypnoVizion. This release dives deep into the shadowy realms of bass music, showcasing G-Space’s unfiltered creative approach. Known for his more melodic and instrumental work, Dark Matter highlights a grittier, more experimental side to his production.
Collaborating with fellow boundary-pushers Cavemen, HMPMLK, Patches., and finneh, Dark Matter is a daring blend of mischievous low-end basslines and jagged percussive elements. Alongside these new tracks, the EP also features G-Space’s previously released single, ‘Shattered’ with vide. It’s a bold departure from his signature melodic style, offering HypnoVizion fans an unfiltered glimpse into the darker side of bass music under Rezz’s influential curation.
“I’ve been known to be more of a melodic and instrumental-based producer. This release showcases my darker and filthier side, and the type of music I have been DJing at my low lights / no phone sets,” explains G-Space. “The sound design is inspired by artists like Shades, Rezz, Tsuruda—anything deep, dark, and dangerous.”
G-Space is renowned for creating a unique sound that spans multiple genres, including world, funk, jazz, trap, glitch, and bass. He’s collaborated with notable artists such as EAZYBAKED, sfam, Wreckno, Supertask, and tiedye ky, with releases on Cyclops Recordings, Bassrush Records, and Dome Of Doom. His diverse production style and electrifying performances have led him to grace major festival stages like Ultra Music Festival and Imagine Music Festival, with upcoming appearances at Lost Lands and Submersion Festival this year.
