G-Space and Vide have joined forces for their latest single, ‘Shattered’, now available via HypnoVizion. Born from an unexpected and collaborative studio session, ‘Shattered’ emerged as a unique creation, blending raw ideas from both artists. The track was reworked through a granulator, resulting in an entirely new sound that defies conventional dubstep boundaries.
Clocking in at five minutes, ‘Shattered’ is a scattered and offbeat track, packed with grainy textures and gritty layers that reflect the experimental ethos of HypnoVizion’s catalog. G-Space and Vide push the limits of sound design, forging a defiant soundscape that stands out in today’s bass music scene.
“I’ve been known to be more of a melodic and instrumental-based producer. This release showcases my darker and filthier side—the type of music I’ve been DJing at my low lights/no phone sets. The sound design is inspired by artists like Shades, Rezz, Tsuruda—anything deep, dark, and dangerous,” says G-Space.
G-Space has developed a distinct sound that spans multiple genres, including world, funk, jazz, trap, glitch, and bass. He has collaborated with artists like EAZYBAKED, sfam, Wreckno, Supertask, and tiedye ky on releases for labels such as Cyclops Recordings, Bassrush Records, Dome Of Doom, and his own Iceberg Records. Known for his energetic tricking performance style, G-Space has performed at major festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Imagine Music Festival, with upcoming sets at Lost Lands and Submersion Festival this year. ‘Shattered’ was notably inspired by his father, “Cosmic Charlie”.
Vide is a veteran of the bass music community, recognized for his intricate, cutting-edge sound design blended with adept musicality and melodic elements. Following the release of his fifth project, Cerebral Realm, Vide is currently working on his next project, set to drop in Summer 2024. Additionally, Vide is one-half of Nic Baker, a genre-bending production duo gaining traction in the club music scene.
