Sibling producer duo Frost Children—Angel and Lulu Prost—have announced their third full-length album, SISTER, set for release on September 12 via True Panther / Dirty Hit. Saturated in the sonic DNA of the early 2010s EDM era they grew up obsessing over in St. Louis, SISTER is a heartfelt yet high-octane reflection of the past, present, and future of dance music.
The album’s first single, “CONTROL,” out now with an electrifying video directed by Ben Turok, captures Frost Children in their most liberated form. “‘CONTROL’ is our truest self,” the duo shares. “We don’t care about perceptions anymore—we’re really just ready to take over dance music and make people bounce and feel free. Frost Children takeover is imminent.”
SISTER is a sonic love letter to the era of Zedd, Skrillex, and Krewella, filtered through the duo’s singular artistic lens. Drawing on emo, electro, and pure pop textures, the album explores deeply personal themes like co-dependence, change, and the emotional rhythms of life shared in tight proximity. It’s a bold, full-bodied creative statement from two artists who operate with what they call “twin telepathy”—a bond forged through bedroom YouTube sessions and late-night dives into their older brother’s dubstep library.
While their aesthetic may be steeped in nostalgia, Frost Children aren’t interested in looking backward. As Lulu puts it: “This is so confidently what we love, and what we breathe.” And that confidence radiates across SISTER, an album that combines the stripped emotional honesty of their 2023 acoustic project Hearth Room with the relentless energy of their genre-hopping debut SPEED RUN.
Their rise from New York’s underground nightlife to international stages has been fueled by relentless performances, the launch of their own Frost Fest, and collaborations with artists like Porter Robinson, Danny Brown, Fever Ray, Dorian Electra, and Jane Remover. Onstage and in the studio, Frost Children continue to blur boundaries and build community.
The momentum only accelerates this summer, as the duo embarks on a whirlwind global tour. After a DJ set at Night Club 101 in New York City, they’ll hit the stage at Primavera in Spain, followed by a performance at Governor’s Ball this weekend. International festival dates will take them to Best Kept Secret in the Netherlands, Toronto Pride Festival, Summerfest in Wisconsin, Piknic Électronik in Montreal, Pop Messe in Czechia, O Days in Copenhagen, and OFF Festival in Poland.
With SISTER, Frost Children don’t just revisit the sounds that shaped them—they redefine them with a fresh, fearless vision for modern pop and electronic music.
