All Day I Dream is known for putting out enticing and ethereal deep house tracks. The label’s newest release from Double Touch seems a typical ADID EP but features more of a classical edge. The EP, titled “Adagio,” is composed of 4 tracks and showcases the talent of Double Touch. The artist duo includes Marc Olsen and classically-trained pianist, Van-Anh Nguyen.
The opening track, ‘Adagio‘, definitely leans away from a deep house feel and puts Nguyen’s beautiful composition on display. The three tracks that follow are distinctively melodic house tunes and infuse orchestral elements in an electronic song structure. Each song carries its own vibe – ‘Bagdad‘ takes inspiration from Balkan style music, ‘Cape Cove’ is more upbeat, and ‘Piano Sines’ is beautiful and dark.
Double Touch’s new EP is a treat to listen to and a unique take on what it means to produce deep house music.
