The Colorado-based duo, Big Gigantic, is gearing up for Spring tour season and the release of their new album, “Free Your Mind”. The album is set to drop February 28th and a month later the Electro–Funk pair will head out on the road. The highly anticipated “Free Your Mind 3D Experience” tour will bring their visual spectacle to the masses.
The new album is said to be about self-expression and human connection. They’ve pre-released five singles off the upcoming 13-track album. The new releases are a peek into Big Gigantic’s dynamically evolving sound. “Where I Wanna Be” features an upbeat melody with a smooth saxophone solo mid-song. If these tracks are any indication of what the rest of the album will be like, fans are in for easy-breezy listening.
“This album explores all of the different things that make us human — the things that connect us to ourselves and to each other— so that we can get to know our true selves and live our greatest lives without anything holding us back.”
BIG GIGANTIC
In previous years, Big Gigantic’s 3D set has been exclusively at their hometown throw-down, “Rowdytown“, in Colorado. Last year they expanded it to the Brooklyn Mirage. Fans nationwide are stoked to get the chance to revel at the new production. Not only is Big Gigantic bringing the 3D experience on tour but they’re taking “Rowdytown” to three other states.
You can catch the “Rowdytown” experience at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, CA May 1st, The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on May 2nd, and my personal favorite venue, The Brooklyn Mirage in Brooklyn, NY on May 23rd. The duo will return to their home for Rowdytown IX on September 25th and 26th at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. If you aren’t able to see them on one of their tour dates, they’ll be at Electric Forest and Okeechobee for what promises to be an awesomely funky set.
