Forecastle Festival 2019 | Castle Storming with The Killers, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, and The Avett Brothers

by The Freaks - Staff

Embarking on its 17th year, Forecastle Festival returns July 12-14, 2019. The lineup includes one of the most iconic alt-rock bands of the past decade, The Killers; high-energy folk rockers, The Avett Brothers; and 2019 Grammy-winning hip-hop, funk, and soul performers Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals

Forecastle Festival is a three-day celebration of music, art and activism that will take place at the award-winning Waterfront Park, a sweeping green space on the banks of the Ohio River framed by the skyline of downtown Louisville, Ky.

Forecastle’s acclaimed Kentucky Bourbon Trail outpost, The Forecastle Bourbon Lodge has grown into a headliner all of its own. The Lodge will return with a full lineup of Bourbon offerings from across the Commonwealth, unrivaled local Bourbon-inspired culinary experiences, exclusive access to rare sips and much more. New to 2019, festival goers can redeem their Bourbon Lodge memberships and pick up a Forecastle Urban Bourbon Trail Passport starting Thursday prior to the festival at the Louisville Visitor Center downtown.

The Gonzo Bar presented by White Clay will also return, offering an artistic bar experience commemorating the legacy of Gonzo journalist and Kentucky Bourbon aficionado Hunter S. Thompson. More information surrounding the fan-favorite Bourbon Lodge, Gonzo Bar, Kentucky Landing, Harbor Lawn, and Party Cove areas; daily tickets; and Bourbon lineups will be announced in the coming months, so keep checking back freaks!

Beyond the first-class music and Bourbon lineups, The Forecastle experience presents Louisville’s rich culture by showcasing the city’s burgeoning culinary and arts scene, Kentucky’s unique heritage and more. Sustainability and conservation initiatives are guided by the festival’s 501c3 non-profit organization, the Forecastle Foundation.

Additional music acts include Portugal. The Man, Maggie Rogers, Tyler Childers, Judah & The Lion, Nelly, Chvrches, Moon Taxi, First Aid Kit, Dawes and many more.
