Faithless Celebrate 30 Years With Open-Air Show at Bristol Harbourside

Bristol is set to host a landmark moment in electronic music this summer as Faithless announce an open-air performance at Lloyds Amphitheatre on the iconic Bristol Harbourside. Part of the Siren Bristol summer series, the show commemorates 30 years since the release of their debut album in April 1996, the record that introduced the world to “Insomnia.”

The performance takes place on Friday, 24th July, opening a rare back-to-back weekend of milestone celebrations, with HOSPITAL30 ON THE HARBOUR following on Saturday, 25th July. Both events mark three decades for two of the UK’s most influential electronic music institutions.

Formed in 1995, Faithless quickly became a global force, releasing their debut album Reverence in 1996 and scoring timeless hits like “Insomnia.” Over their career, the band has achieved 10 UK Top 10 singles, six Top 5 albums (three at Number One), global sales exceeding 20 million albums, and streaming figures approaching one billion. Their 2015 release Faithless 2.0 reimagined their catalogue with contributions from Avicii, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, and Claptone, while 2020’s All Blessed reaffirmed their relevance and emotional depth.

This new live era carries deep significance following the passing of Maxi Jazz in 2022. Sister Bliss and Rollo return to the stage with a show designed to celebrate the genre they helped shape and honor Maxi’s legacy. Collaborating with acclaimed show designer Jvan Morandi and a close team of creative partners, the performance promises to be punky, funky, uplifting, and emotionally charged, reconnecting with the spirit of Faithless’ beginnings.

Joining Faithless are Bristol-based Kosheen, marking 25 years of their influential label Resist, and DJ/producer Milly On Air, making her Harbourside debut with fresh contemporary energy.

Set against the waterfront, Lloyds Amphitheatre offers one of the UK’s most atmospheric open-air concert settings, ideal for sunset moments and summer gatherings. Across the consecutive nights, Bristol becomes a focal point for three decades of electronic music innovation, uniting fans across generations.

The 2026 Siren Bristol series has already drawn attention, with the return of The Maccabees on Thursday, 23rd July, more than 80% sold out. Faithless’ anniversary show further cements the series as a cornerstone of Bristol’s summer, blending scale, setting, and cultural significance.

Faithless’ return to Bristol promises a rare and powerful live experience—a celebration of legacy, resilience, and shared history, set within a weekend honoring 30 years of electronic music past, present, and future.
