Eyezic Unveils Emotionally Charged ‘In Motion’ EP on Lost In Dreams

by Press Release

Washington D.C.-based producer Eyezic continues to make waves with his ever-evolving sound, blending elements of trap, house, breaks, melodic bass, and UK garage into a signature style that resonates across the electronic spectrum. Returning to Lost In Dreams Records, he delivers his sophomore four-track EP, ‘In Motion’, a melodic journey that follows the success of ‘Reflections’ and explores the fluid nature of life’s experiences.

Setting the tone for the EP, “Holding On” introduces an uplifting yet nostalgic soundscape. Emotion-filled vocals take center stage, floating above an open, stripped-back intro that welcomes listeners into an immersive sonic world. A steady four-on-the-floor groove emerges, reinforced by punchy kicks, fluid basslines, and intricate drum programming. Playful vocal bends contrast the track’s deeply emotive pull, offering a dancefloor-ready mix of sentimentality and energy.

Eyezic reflects on the personal significance of the track, saying, “‘Holding On’ shares the memory that I have with the ones I love, talking about the good, great, and beyond extravagant moments with the people I have learned to be myself around, and those I consider my family. This song also has a particular meaning to really keeping those you care for near and dear to your heart.”

“Gravity” takes a poignant turn, featuring the evocative vocals of Savannah Scgro. The track embodies the magnetic push-and-pull of love, mirroring its highs and lows through a melodic house groove rich with tension and release. Thumping kicks, ghostly vocal layers, and dreamy melodies create a cinematic yet club-ready atmosphere that underscores the complexities of deep emotional connections.

Breaking down the inspiration behind the collaboration, Eyezic explains, “‘Gravity’ shares the moments of the ‘push and pull’ of someone you know is worth fighting for. Through the good, and bad, it’s all a never-ending cycle when it’s those you really share such a strong connection with.”

Joining forces with LA-based singer-songwriter JiLLI, Eyezic crafts the emotionally charged “Never Should’ve Called.” This melodic house ballad captures the heartache of lingering regrets, with JiLLI’s delicate, whisper-like vocals painting a picture of a love that was never meant to be rekindled. The track’s shimmering synths, shuffling drums, and ethereal textures balance beauty with melancholy, delivering an intensely relatable moment of reflection.

Eyezic offers insight into the song’s meaning, stating, “‘Never Should’ve Called’ talks about the regrets of past decisions—feeling like you’ve made a mistake in trying to work things out with someone that should’ve ended a while back. Even though you think it could be fixed, it’s better to turn away and keep moving.”

Closing out the EP, “Crush” emerges as a breathtaking fusion of breakbeat-fueled melodic house, featuring Brody Leigh’s delicate yet emotive vocals. Warm synth stabs, swirling chime tones, and majestic horn melodies weave through the track, capturing the intensity of longing and love with an uplifting, euphoric rush. Organic bird sounds and intricate sound design elevate the emotional weight, turning the track into an audio representation of infatuation in its purest form.

Speaking on the lead single, Eyezic shares, “There are moments in life where you find it difficult to express how you feel about someone, so you find yourself expressing these emotions in a different way. This could be anywhere from showing love, carefulness, sadness, or any emotion in between. I was never any good with my words, so I started writing songs about them instead.”

With a versatile catalog spanning UK garage, stutter house, and melodic bass, Eyezic has carved out a unique place in the electronic scene. His work on Lost In Dreams has earned praise from This Song Is Sick, This Song Slaps, Relentless Beats, Frontview Magazine, Indie Dream, Music You Wanna Listen To, and EDM Tunes. His live performances continue to captivate audiences, with recent appearances at Beyond Wonderland Chicago and his ongoing ‘In Motion’ Tour, featuring stops at Headflyer Brewing, Larimer Lounge, and The Office.

Eyezic proves once again that he is a force to be reckoned with, seamlessly blending club-ready grooves with deeply emotive storytelling. ‘In Motion’ is more than just an EP—it’s a sonic experience that cements his place as one of electronic music’s brightest rising stars.
