Born Steven Landis in Valley Stream, New York, Exstra’s journey into electronic music began slowly, inspired by a childhood immersed in 90s pop-infused electronica and a love for live performances. His musical aspirations were sparked after seeing Avicii live during university, leading him to become a DJ and later, a producer.
Influenced by artists such as Nora En Pure, Camelphat, and Joris Voorn, Exstra’s music blends dark analogue textures with organic tones, creating a hypnotic atmosphere that keeps audiences entranced on the dance floor.
