Los Angeles-based phenom Pauline Herr returns to Lost In Dreams Records with her second single, “Fault Line.” This track, a collaboration with the multi-talented Marlhy, merges elements of trance, melodic bass, and techno for a strikingly powerful result.
Known for her versatility as a producer, singer, and songwriter, Pauline Herr has become a driving force in the melodic dance music scene. For her latest release with Lost In Dreams, she has enlisted the vocal prowess of Marlhy, a skilled multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter also hailing from LA. “Fault Line” is a monumental track, featuring Marlhy‘s smooth vocals that explore the emotional turmoil of a deteriorating relationship. The track’s melancholic chords build into a vibrant color bass crescendo with melodic techno riffs, vocoded synths, and shimmering chimes, ultimately leading to an epic trance finale.
Discussing the inspiration behind “Fault Line,” Pauline Herr shares: “‘Fault Line‘ is incredibly special to me because it marks my first collaboration with a female vocalist, and I’ve long admired Marlhy‘s work. Initially, I didn’t plan to include full vocals on this track, but Marlhy‘s voice brought it to life. This song embodies the pain and anger that come with the end of a relationship.”
Pauline Herr is a leading figure in the melodic dance genre, making her mark across trap, future bass, techno, trance, and more. Her debut on Lost In Dreams Records with “Lightyears” garnered support from industry heavyweights like Illenium, Alison Wonderland, Zeds Dead, and ARMNHMR. Recently, she collaborated with NGHTMRE and Jon Casey on “In Your Eyes,” featured on NGHTMRE‘s ‘UNSOUND 2‘ EP via Gud Vibrations. In addition to her studio achievements, Pauline Herr is embarking on her first headline tour and performing at major festivals such as Beyond Wonderland PNW, S20 Hong Kong, Creamfields Shenzhen China, Breakaway Festival, and as a special guest for San Holo‘s Existential Dance Music show. In May, she graced the kineticFIELD mainstage at the prestigious EDC Las Vegas.
