Ely Oaks and sirinens are giving a familiar 2000s breakup anthem a high-energy dancefloor makeover with their new single, “F_ck it (I don’t want you back),” out now via JINX Music. Built for radio, festival main stages, and peak-time club sets alike, the track transforms a blunt message to a cheating ex into a fast-moving electronic anthem designed to be shouted back from the crowd.

The new version takes the instantly recognizable foundation of Eamon‘s 2004 hit and places it inside Ely Oaks‘ signature sound. A high-tempo electronic beat, direct arrangement, and driving energy replace the more laid-back feel of the original, while the familiar sentiment remains at the center of the track. The result turns an old-school kiss-off into something built for much bigger rooms.

“F_ck it (I don’t want you back)” follows Ely‘s September 11 single “Self Aware” and his September 18 remix of Gryffin, BUNT., and Inéz‘s “World Away.” It also arrives after a busy year that has included his official remix of Taylor Swift‘s “Opalite” and “Gravity,” his collaboration with Steve Aoki and SACHA.

For Ely, the idea for the rework came directly from his appreciation for the original song and his collaboration with sirinens.

“The idea came from Siri [sirinens] and we both absolutely love the original Eamon song. It’s definitely one of those songs that immediately triggers an emotion especially if you know it from earlier times. The moment I realized that this version really added something special was when the chords of the bass came into play. It adds more energy and also a darker vibe, compared to the laid back beat of the original. This gives the whole song almost a new meaning. After it went viral across Instagram and TikTok, I’m so happy to finally share this full version with everybody.” – Ely Oaks

The song’s source material carries its own impressive history. Released by Eamon in 2004, the original spent four weeks at No. 1 in the UK, topped Billboard’s European Hot 100, and became the first chart-topper in UK history to feature an explicit word in its title. More than two decades later, Ely Oaks and sirinens are introducing the song to a new generation through a modern dance production.

The timing also sets the stage for Ely Oaks‘ next major stretch on the road. His extensive North American tour begins in November and continues into 2027, with stops scheduled across Dallas, Portland, Seattle, Boston, Houston, New York, Miami, Austin, Detroit, San Francisco, Denver, Orlando, Toronto, Montreal, San Diego, Los Angeles, and more.

Born in the ski resort town of Kitzbühel, Austria, and now based in Berlin, Ely Oaks has quickly developed a reputation for blending commercial dance accessibility with underground energy. He currently reaches close to 10 million monthly Spotify listeners and has more than 1 million followers across TikTok and Instagram. In 2024, TikTok named him the No. 1 most-followed DJ in Germany.

His breakthrough came through the viral success of “Running Around,” which has surpassed 150 million streams and appeared in Spotify‘s Songs of Summer 2025 campaign. His collaboration with LAVINIA, “Borderline,” reached No. 35 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 17 on the German Singles Chart, further establishing his crossover appeal.

His catalog also includes collaborations with Alok on “Tsunami” and Timmy Trumpet on “Sound Of Da Police,” along with official remixes for Marshmello, Nate Dogg, and most recently James Hype.

That versatility comes from a musical background that has never stayed in one lane. Ely developed early interests in indie rock through Foals, went through a teenage metalcore phase centered around Bring Me The Horizon, and eventually discovered EDM through a Skrillex remix. After experimenting with dubstep and spending time with touring duo ZOOTAH, he launched his solo project in 2021.

A viral remix of Florence + The Machine‘s “Spectrum (Say My Name)” became an early breakthrough, helping establish the foundation for his solo career. Since then, his momentum has taken him from viral moments online to major festival stages, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Australia, Ushuaïa Ibiza, and EDC Orlando.

With “F_ck it (I don’t want you back),” Ely Oaks once again finds a way to connect nostalgia with the sound of modern dance music. The track takes a song rooted in early-2000s heartbreak and gives it the energy of a contemporary festival record, arriving just as Ely prepares to take that sound across North America and into another major chapter of his career.
