This past Sunday I was able to experience my favorite party elrow, at Encore Beach Club! Coming from New York City, I am used to seeing these entertainers in a dark Brooklyn warehouse. It’s always nice to see elrow in a different environment especially when they have so many props to set up.
How much more excited can I get knowing I get to see one of my favorite artists Patrick Topping at Elrow Las Vegas. When I think of vegas beach clubs the first thing that comes to mind is a dress code. On my way to Las Vegas, I thought about how they would throw such a unique party at a venue with a dress code. Fortunately, Encore openly welcomed this wild crowd and was not strict at all. Encore Beach Club is my favorite of all the day clubs in Las Vegas. Their layout of pools and day beds/tables works so well, with the stage and dance floor right in the middle.
After figuring out which line I had to use to enter the beach club, I walked past security instantly feeling that elrow vibe. The feeling you get when entering an elrow party is very exciting. elrow to me seems like a big play, as the performers walk through the venue and interact with the crowd they put on a story for us. One of the best parts is walking around and being handed random props to play with. An hour into the party and I was wearing a blue wig, fairy wings and holding an Elrow champagne bottle.
Somehow at every elrow I attend, I feel like I am at home once I’m dancing with the performers. I must have entered this party at the perfect time because soon after exploring the venue my favorite track begins to play. “Be Sharp Say Nowt” echoes through Encore Beach Club as I find my friends dancing in the pool. When this track is heard at any party, I can guarantee the crowd will always wake up and lose their minds. Patrick Topping keeps the crowd moving with not only this track but his vibrant energy and colorful attire. I felt lucky be in front of Patrick once again after seeing him at EDC Vegas two nights before.
Another first for me at this elrow was being granted VIP access. Usually, I don’t care much for VIP at shows because depending on the layout of the venue it may take away from the experience. Being able to go backstage at Encore Beach Club was fascinating for me. I was able to have access to a full bar backstage with absolutely no line, and of course more comfortable access private restrooms. It’s definitely amazing to see the crowd Elrow from the front side and watching everyone interact with the amusing characters on stilts. At one point I found myself catching up with a friend I have not seen in a while and as performer joined us, offering us gummy snacks and pixie sticks. When something like this happens I feel as if we are all a part of the show.
From my experience, the only thing missing at Encore Beach Club was the confetti. elrow is known for extreme amounts of confetti shooting into the crowd. Of course, it wouldn’t be ideal to blast confetti cannons with open pools all around, but it is one of my favorite moments at this party. As I expected, Fisher ended the afternoon with an exciting set that didn’t let me rest. At the end of the event, I had the utmost amount of emotion thinking about the next elrow. I had no idea I would be able to party with them so soon. I look forward to the next New York City Edition, Rowlywood, at the Brooklyn Mirage on July 27th.
