On December 14th, 2019, the lively crew from elrow will return to their New York Residency as elrow’art and transform Brooklyn rave fortress, Avant Gardner into their brand new immersive art experience known as Kaos Garden.
Elrow will return to their New York Residency as elrow’art and transform Brooklyn rave fortress, Avant Gardner into their brand new immersive art experience known as Kaos Garden.
Elrow’art is the collaboration of longtime techno DJ Paco Osuna and Spanish street artist Okuda San Miguel, who is best known for his transformation of an abandoned church into a bright, bold colorful work of art called Kaos Temple. The two, along with global fashion brand Desigual and art collective Ink and Movement, will combine music and art to draw the crowd into a real-life interpretation of the Renaissance painting The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch.
The painting is a triptych that portrays hedonistic scenes of heaven turning to hell as light turns to dark in this amazing garden. It has been described as an “erotic derangement that turns us all into voyeurs, a place filled with the intoxicating air of perfect liberty”. Sounds like an elrow party! In Kaos Garden, hell will be the starting point, with darkness transforming into light as the night gets more wild and hedonistic.
Consuming the enormous space that is Avant Gardner, three stages will recreate the surreal, chaotic and multisensory scene of a garden that will unleash human emotions and free will. Skulls of colors that open up at our pace, ships that fly, mountains that take root, birds, unicorns and sirens dancing are some of the elements that will make up this fantasy where we each get to choose our own destiny. Combining the vibrant, bold art style of Okuda with the pure insanity that is already elrow promises to deliver a legendary night we won’t soon forget!
For the soundtrack of the night, Osuna has curated a heavy-hitting line up of house and techno maestros, including elrow residents Bastian Bux and De La Swing, Eats Everything, Latmun, Jacky, and Richy Ahmed. Additionally, Lee Foss and his Repopulate Mars crew will turn King’s Hall into an otherworldly paradise.
Elrow’art makes its U.S. debut during Art Basel in Miami on December 6th, 2019, following up a week later in New York.
“After our sold-out debut in Ibiza, we are very proud to debut in Miami with our first immersive art experience, elrow’art. An initiative brought to life thanks to the collaboration with a great team coming from different art disciplines such as Ink and Movement, Okuda San Miguel, Desigual and Paco Osuna,” says elrow CEO Juan Arnau Jr.
I don’t know about you guys but I’m excited to see what Okuda and elrow have in store for us because you know it’s gonna be CRAZY! See you kids on the dancefloor.
elrow’art NYC is December 14, 2019, 7 p.m. – 4:30 a.m., Avant Gardner, 140 Stewart Ave, Brooklyn. Get your tickets here.
