Grammy-winning DJ and producer Elderbrook is set to release his latest single, ‘Shallow Water‘, on Friday, 7th June. Renowned for his trailblazing sound and mesmerizing live shows, Elderbrook continues to redefine the electronic music landscape. This new track is poised to further cement his status as a dominant force in the genre, captivating listeners around the globe.
Centered around emotive vocals and uplifting organ melodies, ‘Shallow Water‘ is a dynamic and inspiring single. Accompanying its release is a captivating official video, directed by Phúóng Vū with creative direction by Charlie Rees. The video, debuting on the same day, is expected to enhance the song’s emotional impact, providing a rich visual experience for fans.
Director Phúóng Vū shared, “In traditional Vietnamese folklore, the sky is symbolized by a circle, and the earth by a square. Building on this concept, we aimed to showcase Vietnam’s breathtaking natural landscapes, paired with holistic choreography to represent the human element, alongside large, abstract spheres and cubes symbolizing the earth and sky.”
This release follows Elderbrook’s successful return in April 2024 with ‘Glad I Found You‘, a collaboration with acclaimed dance producer George FitzGerald.
Discussing the new single, Elderbrook said, “In ‘Shallow Water‘, the situation is dire, with no options left but to improve. The song is about those moments when we promise ourselves change, despite knowing it will be challenging. It delves into our struggles with integrity and the desire for self-improvement, acknowledging that genuine change is often difficult and messy. It’s about giving voice to our constant self-doubt.”
After touring his well-received sophomore album Little Love last year with sold-out performances across the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, and headlining a sold-out show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre this Spring, Elderbrook is gearing up for a major summer headline show at New York’s Brooklyn Mirage on Friday, June 14th.
Following this, Elderbrook will be performing in Ibiza and participating in a packed festival season, including appearances at Boardmasters in the UK, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Osheaga.
Having toured with notable acts such as Jungle, Rufus Du Sol, and Odesza, amassed over 2 billion streams, and starred at Coachella in 2023, Elderbrook continues to establish himself as a leading figure in the electronic music scene. ‘Shallow Water‘ propels his exciting 2024 forward with a heartfelt club anthem.
