Nestled in the heart of Atlanta, Echo Room opened to eager crowds after months of meticulous planning. The space is the brainchild of four legendary Atlanta DJs—Kai Alce, DJ Kemit, Salah Ananse, and Mike Zarin—alongside Westside Motor Lounge’s own Kelly Campbell. Together, they’ve created an homage to Japan’s post-World War II listening bars, blending vintage aesthetics with a modern Atlanta twist.
A Sonic Time Machine
Echo Room channels the style and warmth of the 1970s, resembling the cozy, well-loved recording studio basements of yesteryear. Its unique charm lies in its ability to transport listeners back to a time when every note carried deep meaning. The carefully curated playlist spans genres such as House, Soul, Classic Rock, Jazz, Bossa Nova, Latin, Pop, and Hip Hop.
Open Thursday through Saturday from 6 PM to midnight, the 1,750-square-foot venue is outfitted with a vintage sound system designed by Salah Ananse, featuring rare studio equipment sourced from North Georgia’s Hi-Fi enthusiasts. Guests can revel in the warmth of analog sound while enjoying expertly crafted cocktails in a setting that’s as much about the experience as the music.
