EARWIG Music Festival’s Biannual DanceSafe Fundraiser Is Back With Deathpact’s Online Debut

by The Freaks - Staff

Last year DEATHPACT’s official discord server, Deathcord, held its first EARWIG Music Festival in November ahead of the current streaming uptick. Now, Deathcord is hosting its next installment of the biannual online fundraiser for DanceSafe on April 21, 2020.

Deathcord started as a small server on discord where fans came together to work through an ARG created by DEATHPACT in 2018. Since then, Deathcord has grown into a community brought together by their love of music and a headfuck of a puzzle. The festival is streamed live through the Deathcord server where anyone can listen on their desktop or through the Discord app where they can participate in the community’s live chat. Throughout the festival, there will be a GoFundMe fundraiser where listeners can donate to DanceSafe, a peer-based, non-profit harm reduction organization that promotes health and safety within the electronic music community. All of the donations made from EARWIG Music Festival will go directly to DanceSafe.

Every Tuesday for the month leading up to EARWIG Music Festival the Deathcord server has hosted a concert series featuring EYE on March 31, SHIMMER on April 7, and on April 14 at 8 PM EST GALIXI will be hosting the last set of the series. The following Tuesday EARWIG Music Festival has a stacked Bass lineup including an Electric Hawk Takeover with Matheny and Voliik along with Ether Specter, CODEUNIT, BLISS, hollow moon, OBAŸASHI, BRVMES, SLAYDE, Notaker, Walter Wilde, Swarm, SHSTR, and Deathpact’s online debut.

EARWIG Music Festival starts at 6 PM EST Tuesday, April 21st but be sure to join the Deathcord server ahead of time to catch the concert series!
