After much anticipation, GRAMMY® Award-nominated Australian artist, producer, DJ, and songwriter Dom Dolla has finally released his eagerly awaited single, ‘CAVE’, featuring Tove Lo. Released via Three Six Zero Recordings / Ministry Of Sound, this collaboration marks Dom’s first official team-up with the Swedish-born, Los Angeles-based GRAMMY® and Golden Globe®-nominated pop visionary, Tove Lo.
‘CAVE’ is a bold blend of Dom’s dynamic production and Tove’s sultry, confessional vocals. The track kicks off with pulsating keys beneath a soft hum, building up to a chorus where Tove sings, “I know all your tricks and you lick your lips, because you know I’m gonna cave.” It’s an energetic, hypnotic anthem brimming with their signature styles.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Dom Dolla shared, “Tove and I have been mates for years, and we always talked about making music together. ‘CAVE’ was the first track we finished, and it just clicked. It’s a special track that shows off our shared vision.”
Tove Lo added, “I instantly loved the haunted yet sexy vibe of the track. It gave me toxic ex energy, so that’s the story I went with. We went through multiple versions to get it perfect, and now it’s ready for the world.”
The single arrives alongside an epic music video, directed by Grant Spanier (known for his work with Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo, The Weeknd, and ROSALÍA). Shot in the UK, the video follows Dom Dolla and Tove Lo as vampire slayers in a spooky woodland setting, perfectly complementing the eerie yet electrifying energy of the track.
In addition to the single release, Dom Dolla has received a staggering six ARIA nominations, including Best Solo Artist and Song of the Year. His recent single “girl$” has also garnered over 25 million Spotify streams, topping charts worldwide.
