Doctor P & Flux Pavilion Unveil Long-Awaited Collaborative Album

2 minutes read

After weeks of anticipation, bass music powerhouses Doctor P and Flux Pavilion have finally released their long-awaited, self-titled debut collaborative album via their own influential imprint, Circus Records. A project over 20 years in the making, this milestone moment celebrates not only their decades-spanning friendship but also their shared evolution as artists who helped shape modern bass music.

With a 15-track journey that defies genre constraints, the album delivers an electrifying fusion of cinematic soundscapes, chaotic basslines, and playful experimentation. From the euphoric opening surge of “Feel Good”, to the warped ’90s disco-meets-nightmare groove of “I Luv It”, and the delirious, unpredictable chaos of “Vegemite”, the album is a testament to their unbreakable creative synergy.

More than just a collection of tracks, this project represents a full-circle moment for Doctor P and Flux Pavilion, co-founders of Circus Records and pioneers of the dubstep movement. With a sound that effortlessly balances nostalgia and innovation, the album honors their roots while boldly pushing forward into new sonic territory.

To celebrate the release, the duo will bring their unparalleled energy to an exclusive back-to-back set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami on March 30.

Reflecting on their journey, Doctor P and Flux Pavilion shared:

“We’ve been making music together for over 20 years, and in that time, we’ve developed our own language in the studio—just like a group of friends creating their own inside jokes. In 2010, that language found a voice in dubstep, and it resonated with a massive community. But we’ve been these characters—Doctor P and Flux Pavilion—since we were kids. We’ve always sought to balance adventure, drama, and humor in our music, and this album captures not just who we are today, but who we’ve always been. In one moment, it’s a serious body of work, and in the next, it’s two friends having fun on their computers. Our message has always been: ‘why not both?'”

With this monumental release, Doctor P and Flux Pavilion reaffirm their status as genre innovators, proving that after more than two decades, their creative chemistry is stronger than ever.
