Today, Dirtybird Campout and Northern Nights Music Festival—two of Northern California’s most beloved independent music festivals—officially unveil the artist lineup for their groundbreaking joint festival, set to take place July 18–20, 2025 at Cook’s Valley Campground, a stunning natural haven straddling the Humboldt/Mendocino County Line on the Eel River, surrounded by majestic California Redwoods.

This highly anticipated collaboration marks a pivotal moment in festival culture, uniting Dirtybird’s mischievous energy and genre-pushing dance music with Northern Nights’ forward-thinking curation, cannabis innovation, and laid-back riverfront vibes. The result? A bold, boundary-breaking weekend of music, art, wellness, community—and a whole lot of unexpected magic.

At the top of the lineup sits British soul-funk collective Jungle (DJ Set), making their debut under the Redwoods canopy with an expertly curated set. They’ll be joined by Zeds Dead, fresh off their acclaimed Deadbeats LP Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness. Also featured are global boundary-pushers like UK electro-pop sensation Aluna (EMPIRE), house heavyweights Walker & Royce, and the meteoric, genre-defying trio Levity.

Longtime Dirtybird fans will revel in seeing label legends return, including the Martin BrothersJustin Martin and Christian Martin—alongside experimental tastemaker Justin Jay, beloved house disruptor Mz Worthy, bass-fueled groove queen VNSSA, and party-starting favorite Ardalan. Rounding out the crew are Dirtybird alums like J.Phlip, Nala, Kevin Knapp, Sacha Robotti, and Gettoblaster, bringing peak-time vibes and underground flair alike.

The lineup spans far beyond house music, continuing Northern Nights’ reputation for eclectic, genre-inclusive programming. Highlights include legendary turntablist Cut Chemist, classic DnB icons Ed Rush & Optical, Jersey club queen UNIIQU3, bass trailblazer Wreckno, future-funk mastermind Super Future, live instrumentalist KR3TURE, genre-melding trumpeter Balkan Bump, and bass-driven polymath Mary Droppinz.

Additional standout acts include Chicago house hero Gene Farris, rising stars Bianca Oblivion and Jackie Hollander, smooth soul collective Life on Planets, the dynamic duo Omicasa (Craze & Matsu), cinematic electro-pop duo Kaleida, and live psychedelic funk from Shaded.

In a major production update, Northern Nights will introduce a second River Stage, dubbed the Bird Bath Stage, positioned on the opposite bank from the beloved original. While one stage delivers funked-out house grooves, the other dives into underground, low-end experimentation, creating a unique sonic push-and-pull across the riverbanks.

Beyond the riverside action, fans will be immersed at the Main Stage, a true convergence of both brands’ identities with marquee performances curated in tandem. The Grove Stage, nestled deep among the Redwoods, will host sunrise sessions, daytime yoga and movement, and intimate musical performances. Meanwhile, the Late Night Bunker Stage will keep the energy alive deep into the night with unforgettable sunrise sets and surprise appearances.

This debut collaboration will also see the return of Dirtybird Campout’s infamous camp games, interactive activities, and impromptu performances, layered with Northern Nights’ pioneering cannabis culture—like the iconic Tree Lounge, a fully-licensed on-site consumption area surrounded by Northern California’s most trusted brands and growers.

The event will also feature wellness workshops, silent discos, “Our Friends” stages hosted by local crews and collectives, and immersive art throughout the grounds. True to the ethos of both festivals, the experience is designed to promote community, freedom of expression, and shared joy.

Held in the heart of the Emerald Triangle, Cook’s Valley Campground is just 190 miles north of San Francisco, offering idyllic river access, ancient Redwoods, and a pristine natural landscape that perfectly sets the stage for this next evolution of West Coast festival culture.

For over 20 years, Dirtybird has stood as a beacon in dance music—celebrated for blending genre-defying sounds with campy fun and community spirit. Meanwhile, Northern Nights has been a leader in innovation, being the first U.S. festival to permit legal cannabis sales and consumption on-site while maintaining a deep connection to local culture.

Together, this historic pairing is more than a festival—it’s a movement. A bold statement that collaboration, independence, and community-first values can reshape the future of live music.
