Spring is officially upon us and as the grey skies make way for the sunny days, there is only one thing on my mind, festival season! One event I am super pumped is making its way to Austin is Desert Hearts. This intimate House and Techno fest is surely going to make its mark on Central Texas.
Starting in 2012 in California, Desert Hearts has been spreading the love and grooves throughout the States. The Desert Hearts Crew prides itself on being “a vibe-focused force radiating a conscious ethos of House, Techno, and love.” The first event took place in the Mojave Desert and this gathering sparked a fire in the founders; Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Porkchop and Kristoff McKay, to keep creating these intimate events and bring you the same exceptional vibes and one of a kind character that only Desert Hearts can produce.
Coming along with the Desert Hearts Crew on this journey to Austin is a massive lineup of outstanding talent; Damian Lazarus, Rodriguez Jr., Nathan Barato, RYBO and Lubelski. Rodriguez Jr’s vast creativity in his sets are a not to miss. His remix of Eli & Fur’s “Night Blooming Jasmine”, which appears on “Anjunadeep 10” is phenomenal. Nathan Barato’s funky style is definitely going to come in HOT and turn Austin on its toes. A master at performing at outdoor events, Damian Lazarus is going to bring his undeniable expertise and will certainly elevate this event to another level!
Not only will the artists be phenomenal but the venue Carson Creek Ranch is a main feature in its own right. Sitting along the Colorado River, Carson Creek Ranch makes you feel like you’re in the wilderness and not in the heart of Austin. It brings the nature to the city and boasts an unforgettable backdrop. If you attended “Anjuanadeep Open Air” last year, then you know the kind of environment to expect = pure magic.
