Making a majestic label debut, Belfast-born producer Dee Montero graces with his two-track Aquila  – out now on all streaming platforms.

Inviting listeners into his melodic dimension, the title track combines uplifting keys, rhythmic percussion and soaring synths to set the tone. Radiating hedonistic grooves, Aquila ebbs and flows across its duration. Moving into Serenata, the B-side maintains a laidback atmosphere, while floating across a scintillating soundscape. Combining an array of instrumentation and samples to cinematic effect, Dee graces the label with two uplifting, melodic cuts.

Dee Montero is a lifer. He is the former Mambo Ibiza resident who at the end of 2017, received Pete Tong’s Essential Tune Of The Year on BBC Radio 1 for his euphoric cut Halcyon, which was originally released on Solomun’s acclaimed Diynamic imprint. Keeping busy ever since, he has released various EPs on prominent imprints, including Knee Deep In Sound, , Days Like Nights and . Keeping music at the core of essence, he has performed the world over, including appearances at Burning Man on the Robot Heart, and Carl Cox’s Playground stages, and shows in Ibiza at Hï with Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli.

In 2020 Dee launched his own imprint Futurescope, enlisting his fellow musical alchemists Patrice Bäumel, Fort Romeau and Lauer for remix duties. He unleashed his diverse 12-track artist album in 2022, playing to those deft melodic touches, twinkling synths and positive peaks. Maya, the standout track from the LP, and homage to Future Sound Of London’s Papua New Guinea got special treatment from Rodriguez Jr., pushing the release to even greater heights.

With his debut EP on Purified Records, and his recent single Freedom on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound, Dee continues his fascinating journey through melodic sonic terrains and promises to keep his output flowing for the remainder of the year.
