deadmau5 is turning Red Rocks into a Halloween spectacle once again, with the electronic music icon revealing additional details for his upcoming DEADMAU5 HALLOWEEN shows on October 30 and 31. Joining the dark celebration will be Australian-born, Los Angeles-based duo VOWWS, with acclaimed drummer Josh Freese and producer and bassist Danny Lohner rounding out the haunting live performance.
Limited tickets remain for the two-night event, which marks the first time in deadmau5’s more than 15-year history of spectacular fall-season shows at the iconic venue that he will perform on Halloween.
Known for building elaborate worlds around his live performances, deadmau5 will bring over-the-top visuals fitting for the occasion, accompanied by selections from his extensive original catalogue and new music to come. Fans are encouraged to embrace the spirit of Halloween by arriving in costume, adding another layer of chaos and creativity to the two-night celebration.
The addition of VOWWS brings a darker, more atmospheric edge to the lineup. The duo, comprised of Matt James on vocals and guitars and Rizz on vocals and keyboards, has developed a world defined by mystery, darkness, and a combination of harrowing, heartfelt, and hopeful songwriting.
Since their inception, VOWWS have built a following through a series of high-profile collaborations. Their early single “Losing Myself In You” featured and was co-written with nu-wave legend Gary Numan, while a remix of “Structure Of Love” from their Under The World album featured guest vocals from Chino Moreno of Deftones. Their 2022 single “WAIT” also featured vocals from Chelsea Wolfe.
The duo has attracted fans across the alternative and heavy music worlds, including Korn, A Perfect Circle, Billy Corgan, and now deadmau5.
For their DEADMAU5 HALLOWEEN performance, VOWWS will be joined by Josh Freese, whose credits include A Perfect Circle, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, and The Vandals. Freese also appears on the duo’s latest album, I’ll Fill Your House With An Army. Danny Lohner, known for his work with The Black Queen and Nine Inch Nails, will also join the performance as producer and bassist.
Beyond the shows themselves, the mau5trap family is bringing back mau5hop, giving fans another way to get into the Halloween spirit. The exclusive pop-up will feature specialty merchandise, limited-edition apparel, pins, and collectibles that will not be available online or at the shows.

mau5hop will take place October 30 and 31 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 95 S Cherokee Street. deadmau5 and friends will also make appearances at the shop for meet-and-greets and signings from noon to 3 p.m. each day.
With deadmau5 preparing a Halloween debut at one of the world’s most iconic concert venues and VOWWS bringing their own shadowy musical universe to the stage, DEADMAU5 HALLOWEEN is shaping up to be a particularly dark edition of the artist’s annual fall spectacle.
Fans can expect plenty of costumes, immersive visuals, deep cuts from the deadmau5 catalogue, and new music as the artist continues to build toward what comes next.
