The highly anticipated collaboration from David Penn, Vintage Culture, and Raphaella, ‘Just Stay The Night,’ launches Defected Records’ 2025 release schedule. Previously available exclusively on Defected’s sold-out 25th-anniversary vinyl box set, the track now gets its official release.
A celebrated Defected House Master, Spanish house icon David Penn has crafted an impressive catalog with the label, delivering hits like ‘Nobody’ featuring Dames Brown and remixes of classics such as Pete Heller’s ‘Big Love,’ Sandy Rivera’s ‘I Can’t Stop,’ and Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway.’
“The decision to collaborate with Lukas (Vintage Culture) was an easy one! I sent him an idea; thankfully, he loved it, so it flowed from there. I was already working on another idea with the super-talented Raphaella, so we experimented with chopping up the vocals from that, and ‘Just Stay The Night’ was born.” – David Penn
Joining him is Vintage Culture, the Brazilian powerhouse who has dominated global stages from Tomorrowland to Coachella and earned a spot in DJ Mag’s Top 10 for the past two years. Known for his modern tech-house sound, his past Defected release ‘Nightjar’ with Sonny Fodera featuring SHELLS became an international club staple.
