Fresh off the record-breaking success of his third studio album, The Boy Who Played the Harp, Dave has unveiled the official music video for standout single ‘Raindance’ featuring Tems.
Shot in Lagos, Nigeria, the vibrant visual brings together two of the world’s most influential artists and follows Dave’s surprise cameo in Tems’ recent video for ‘Mine’. Since its release, ‘Raindance’ has continued to surge, spending ten consecutive weeks inside the UK Top 30 and climbing to a new peak of No. 3 on the UK Official Singles Chart last week. The track’s global momentum is equally impressive, reaching No. 24 on the Spotify Global Chart and landing in the Top 20 across more than 11 countries, including No. 1 in Greece, No. 4 in Switzerland, No. 7 in Ireland, No. 8 in Germany, No. 9 in the Netherlands, No. 9 in Austria, No. 11 in Sweden, and No. 18 in Australia. The release marks the second visual from Dave’s third album, following the cinematic video for ‘Chapter 16’ featuring Kano.
The Boy Who Played the Harp debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart, making Dave the first British rap artist to achieve three consecutive No. 1 album debuts, following PSYCHODRAMA (2019) and We’re All Alone In This Together (2021). The album posted 74,000 UK chart sales in its first week, securing the second-biggest opening week for a British album in 2025. It also set a new benchmark as the best-selling rap album on vinyl in a single week since Official Charts Company records began, with 15,561 vinyl sales. Less than six weeks after release, the album has already earned Gold certification in the UK, surpassing 100,000 sales and accumulating over 200 million global streams.
A defining moment in Dave’s global ascent, The Boy Who Played the Harp charted inside the Top 10 in 11 countries outside the UK, including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Nigeria, Sweden, and Switzerland, while also reaching No. 19 in Canada and No. 22 in Germany, all without any pre-release music.
Next month, Dave will take the album on the road with his highly anticipated The Boy Who Played the Harp world tour. The 2026 run has already sold more than 215,000 tickets, including four sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena, underscoring his status as one of the most dominant voices in global music today.
