Louisville-born producer Daniel Allan is primed for a breakout moment with the release of “Better With You,” his latest single featuring rising artist Port London, arriving May 23 via Breakaway. Fusing his innovative “Synth Garage” style with rich melodic textures and UK Garage influences, Allan continues to push genre boundaries with one of his boldest and most personal offerings to date.

“Better With You” stands as a definitive artistic statement, capturing the emotive depth of early Flume while layering it with the kinetic energy of garage rhythms. The result is a forward-thinking track that delivers both nostalgia and freshness, perfectly suited for intimate listening or late-night dancefloors.

“‘Better With You’ is a record about truly stepping into my own sound as an artist for the first time,” shares Daniel Allan. “’Synth Garage’ combines a myriad of influences—from my childhood Flume obsession to my most recent interest in the garage wave happening in the UK. It captures the energy of where this scene is headed.”

The collaboration with Port London adds another dynamic layer. “Daniel and I have been bouncing ideas off of each other for a while, and every now and then one of them sticks,” says Port London. “When we were working together on this song, it all came together pretty naturally. It really captures the sounds we’ve both been inspired by lately.”

This release follows Allan’s surprise appearance with PARISI at Coachella, and arrives just ahead of a stacked summer that includes sets at EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, and HARD Summer. With major collaborations lined up — including a much-anticipated project with Louis the ChildDaniel Allan is rapidly defining himself as one of electronic music’s most versatile and genre-defying new voices.

“Better With You” drops May 23 on Breakaway — a track that doesn’t just look to the future of electronic music, but actively builds it.
