To rally electronic music fans towards democratic participation, Rave The Vote is teaming up with non-partisan voter engagement group HeadCount to inspire voters in this year’s elections. The Rave The Vote campaign, which is part of HeadCount‘s “Good To Vote” initiative, will offer fans a special music bundle featuring tracks and mixes from top DJs and producers in exchange for checking their voter registration status.
“With dance music thriving in the U.S., it’s vital that our community steps up to vote and makes its voice heard. This election carries significant weight, and it’s important that dance music fans vote in alignment with the values of our culture: peace, love, unity, and respect,” said Rave The Vote in a statement.
Fans can easily claim the downloadable music bundle by verifying their voter registration status through a designated URL and opting in for text reminders about voting. The music bundle will be available for download in late September.
Lucille Wenegieme, Executive Director of HeadCount, emphasized the synergy between music and democracy: “Partnering with Rave The Vote is an exciting opportunity to blend the energy of dance music with the power of voting. We’re excited to work together to engage fans and encourage them to use their voices at the polls. With the support of these talented artists, we’re confident this effort will drive a strong turnout and make a real difference in this year’s elections.”
The “Good To Vote” initiative, HeadCount‘s flagship online campaign, aims to equip young people for voting. Since its launch in 2020, the initiative has directly engaged over 600,000 voters with opportunities to win unique experiences and prizes from celebrities like Camila Cabello, Hailee Steinfeld, and Samuel L. Jackson. In addition to its online efforts, HeadCount also promotes voter participation through in-person registration drives at concerts, festivals, and community events.
