Valentine’s Day continues to be excessively commercialized with expectations of flowers, chocolates, bears, and other crap you’ll be trying to pick up from a street vendor on the drive home. Instead of doing the same “traditional” holiday, maybe it’s time to mix things up a bit more. Take your bae to a place you first fell in love.
Even though usually held in July, Shark Week is coming to you early (sort of). While this hasn’t been officially announced (and I’m hoping I’m not wrong), my guess is that Jauz will be headlining Crush Arizona 2020. So get the shark squad ready. His wavy and funky beats will have you drowning in an ocean of wubs that you won’t be able to escape from. If you are looking for a bit of weird Bass, then check out “Feel The Volume“. While this song is a bit older, from 2014, it still kicks hard. If you want something a bit newer, you are in luck since he dropped his “Dangerous Waters” EP at the beginning of this year.
The track that sends my heart racing is “Dangerous“, a colab with Jump System. With an intensity that is seemingly straight from Jaws, the building sirens mixed with heavy-synth beats provide a terrifyingly perfect combination. Also included in this EP is “Bring Em Back“, a poppy track with deep bass that features TYNAN, who will also be performing at Crush. While it’s a great track, it doesn’t fully sum up what TYNAN is about. He’s more about the ruthless Trap of “Interdimensional” and the vibrant sounds of “Diggid“.
In addition to Jauz and TYNAN, Crush will feature the Trance style of Audien, the only name in this lineup that could compete with Jauz for the top billing. Having released “Escapism” last November and completed a very successful tour, he is ready to keep pushing that success forward. While Trance has never really been for me, I may give it another chance with Audien.
The assaulting Dubstep of Carbin and stunning Future Bass of Habstrakt will be featured as well. To complete the night are two recent additions, up-and-coming artists 4B and Dark Mark. It’ll be an eclectic night of Electronic Dance Music for sure. Tickets are currently available, so make sure to snatch them up now. If you’re still unsure about whether to attend, hopefully, a few pictures from last year will push you over the edge. Let your hearts come together at this musical love-fest, or go solo and make a new friend.
