In a few short weeks, Flagstaff will host Coconino Campout, a three-day music festival at Pepsi Amphitheatre! If you’re anything like me, you are positively HANGRY for the womps, lasers, and vibes. Don’t worry; I am delivering a delicious charcuterie of beats to tide you over until we gather. I’ve gathered some insanely juicy tracks to hype you up for this impressive lineup Relentless Beats has lined up for us. Have I had the most recent volume of “Vibe Check” by Tape B on loop for weeks? Yes. Will I have it as my daily soundtrack until we are up north? Also, yes.
Coconino Campout Deets
If you’re completely lost, let me give you a quick rundown. This September 20th through the 22nd, Flagstaff, Arizona, will be the home for small-town vibes and big bass bumping! Surrounded by trees, Pepsi Amphitheatre provides an intimate and cozy setting for the weekend. With this being a Campout, you bet there will be a robust camping experience! Vibe Check Vol. 2 – Tape B
I won’t try to list all the bonkers samples Tape B featured throughout his most recent Vibe Check Volume. This collection of tracks is bursting with little bites that I could eat for lunch! The fact that this mixtape features both Natasha Bedingfield AND ScHoolboy Q should tell you enough about the range featured here.
Tape B’s ability to bake energy and hype into a recorded track is unmatched by his live experience. Watching him go bananas on the deck while having the time of his life is an infectious energy that pours over the whole crowd. I can already say that his performance at Coconino Campout will blow my socks off!
CloZee and LSDream Team Up
When I saw that both CloZee and LSDream were on the lineup, I immediately said YES to locking this into my schedule. Individually, these artists can hold their own creatively and dynamically. Recently, they teamed up to put out three insanely dynamic tracks. The respective sounds have gelled together in an indescribable collaboration.
While CloZee and LSDream are slated to play on different dates, LSDream has a special treat lined up for us on Saturday when CloZee is scheduled to play. Now, I’m not one to get my hopes up too far, but what a blessing it would be to see these two go B2B and perform their tracks together! Not only does their sound mesh perfectly, but their visual styles in live sets would prove to be entrancing! Speaking of that speaking treat from LSDream…
LIGHTCODE Sound Bath
As an excellent continuation of the dynamic sound of CloZee and LSDream, might I suggest a sampling of LIGHTCODE? Have you never heard of it? Let me hit you with a quick run down! LIGHTCODE is LSDream’s side project, but it’s different from most other side projects DJs lean into. LIGHTCODE creates sound bath experiences as a means of healing. Saturday will kick off with a healing sound bath delivered by LIGHTCODE (LSDream). While the community energy is always present at a Relentless Beats event, I’m confident this will take that experience to the next level. So many of us festival-goers have found community on the dance floor.
