Cobrah Drops Final Single “Dog” Ahead of Forthcoming Album Torn

Experimental pop provocateur Cobrah unveils the final single, “Dog”, ahead of her highly anticipated album Torn, releasing this Friday via Atlantic Records. The track is accompanied by an in-depth conversation with Zane Lowe on New Music Daily (Apple Music), offering fans insight into her creative process.

On “Dog”, Cobrah navigates the tension between guardedness and vulnerability. She explains:
“Breaks the softness. It’s a ‘fuck me’ song, there’s no singing, it’s quite rough and graphic.” Beneath the bold delivery and gothic production lies a confession she’s never expressed before in song — her genuine desire to settle down with a lover and stay together “until the grave.”

Torn marks a fully self-written and creative-directed project, pairing Cobrah’s most intimate songwriting yet with high-impact, provocative production. The album stretches her vocal approach, building on her sultry sing-speak style while revealing newfound emotional vulnerability. Cobrah reflects:
“I have a melodic language that I haven’t used before until now. Before it was too personal for me to show it, I didn’t feel strong enough.”

Cobrah enlisted long-time collaborators Isac Hördegård and Hannes Roovers, while also branching out with Illangelo, Machinedrum, and Tove Burman to shape the record’s bold, genre-defying sound.

To celebrate Torn, Cobrah embarks on a North American and European tour, kicking off at Treefort Fest in Boise, Idaho, and continuing through major cities including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, and New York, before heading to London, Berlin, and Paris in May. She will also make her Coachella debut this April.
