Veteran house and techno innovator Claude VonStroke delivers his latest single, “Static In The Deep End,” the first glimpse of his forthcoming album, Wrong Number. Out now, the track rejects the usual festival-ready formulas—no superstar collabs, no vocal hooks engineered for radio, and zero pyrotechnics. Instead, Claude leans into late-night club energy, exploring crooked rhythms, patient tension, and grooves that quietly pull listeners under.
Over 20 years into his career, Claude continues to defy expectations. Inspired by the spirit of German minimal and classic house, “Static In The Deep End” is a track that rewards focused listening, thriving in intimate spaces rather than chasing mass appeal. “It’s engineered to provoke feelings instead of bottle service,” Claude notes, reflecting his long-standing dedication to underground dance culture.
The album Wrong Number takes this personal approach even further: nearly all vocals come from the VonStroke household. Claude’s son, Jasper—currently a pop vocal major at USC—provides most of the sung phrases, textures, and experimental vocal quirks, while his daughter, Ella, appears on multiple tracks. Even the title track’s phone conversation features a dialogue with Claude’s wife, Aundy. By keeping the vocal palette entirely in-house, Claude emphasizes raw, authentic expression over formulaic collaboration.
Jasper will also be joining Claude as a supporting DJ on his upcoming U.S. tour, which features deliberately intimate venues across Japan and Europe, ranging from small clubs of just 300 attendees to cozy, focused rooms built for music lovers.
