Chezile returns with his latest single “Another Life”, featuring singer-songwriter Bryant Barnes. The track is a hazy, slow-burning exploration of devotion and unrequited love, fully embracing Chezile’s signature psychedelic sound with lush guitars, blurred edges, and vocals that feel suspended in time.
Speaking on the track, Chezile says, “‘Another Life’ is a reflection of missed alignment, unrequited love… It’s a sad but beautiful experience. I’m very excited about this song! It’s authentic, raw, and vulnerable, and a layer of myself I’m fine with sharing eternally.” The collaboration with Bryant Barnes came naturally: after writing the song in about 15 minutes last June, Chezile felt it needed another perspective. Barnes contributed his verse within a week, perfectly complementing the tone and completing the track.
Bryant Barnes adds, “I feel like our voices blend really nicely, and it’s just a sick tune in general, so I’m excited to release it for the world to hear.”
This release follows Chezile’s acclaimed 2025 EP Alē, a nostalgic and emotionally resonant project that explored isolation, childhood memories, and the challenges of navigating newfound visibility. It also builds on his viral breakthrough “Beanie”, a psychedelic indie-pop track that has amassed nearly 600 million global streams.
